How to Dispute Junk Pay-Per-Call Calls with Evidence

By the Tagloud team · November 1, 2026

Every call buyer gets junk: wrong numbers, people already represented, callers outside the service area, the same person calling twice. Rejecting those calls is fair. What goes wrong is how the rejection happens.

Why disputes turn into arguments

The buyer says the call didn't qualify. The publisher says it ran past the buffer and should be paid. Neither side has shared, specific evidence, so the dispute is settled by whoever has more leverage. Good publishers get burned and bad ones learn nothing.

A fairer process in four steps

1. Write the rules down before the first call

Agree on what a qualified call means for each campaign, in plain sentences the caller can confirm on the call: age range, state, home owner, not already represented, out of work 12 months or more. Vague rules like "good intent" can't be checked.

2. Check every call against the same rules

Spot-checking a few recordings invites cherry-picking. Checking every call the same way means both sides can trust the verdict, including the calls that did qualify.

3. Attach the caller's own words

"Not qualified" is an opinion. "Not qualified: caller said 'I already have a lawyer handling this'" is evidence. A short quote settles most disputes without anyone replaying the recording.

4. Share the same view with the publisher

When the publisher can open the call and read the same verdict and quote, they can fix the traffic source instead of arguing the call. That is what improves quality over time.

Keep it consistent

Apply the same rules to every publisher, including your favorites, and review "needs review" calls by hand. Consistency is what makes buyers and publishers accept the result.

Tagloud does steps 2 to 4 automatically: every call over 60 seconds is checked against your rules, each verdict comes with the quote behind it, and buyers and publishers see the same result.
